What is the working title of your book? THE UPSTARTS
Where did the idea come from for the book? THE UPSTARTS is Book 3 of my Scotland Yard Exchange Program romantic comedy suspense series. Believe it or not, the book was originally brainstormed with an editor from the publilshing company Sourcebooks.
What genre does your book fall under? I call the books in this series Romantic Comedy Suspense which loosely translated means “James Bond meets Doris Day”.
Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition? Not Brad Pit and Not Angelina. Otherwise I’m open to a couple of hot 30 something up and comers!
What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book? Boston Special Agent Joe Alario is sent to London to protect a royal cousin twice removed, who turns out to be young and dishy Veronica Douglas and they end up renegades, romancing on the run.
How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript? Um… Can I let you know when I finish the first draft? This is one of those works-barely-in-progress. Even the character names may be changed!
What other books would you compare this story to within your genre? THE UPSTARTS compares nicely to THE THROWBACKS and THE HOT SHOTS, the first two books in the series, also to Gemma Halliday’s books or Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series.
Who or What inspired you to write this book? All my inspiration to write originates with the Nuns at Sacred Heart School where in 6th grade they made me come up with a story and I’ve been having fun creating crazy plots with fun people cheap cialis online ever since!
